Dirt road climbs above treeline, alpine pond, big valleys, big ass clouds, mountains made of gravel...must be summertime in Colorado!
Big George won today's stage into Aspen after getting away from the group with TeeJay and Tommy D and some Columbian cats on the descent from Independence Pass. Apparently these guys bombed the wet roads into town, dropping Levi and everyone else. Cadel, 'Always Willing to Race' Evans took the sprint from the pack while Andy 'Is it July?' Schlek wandered in a few minutes back.
With the decisive TT tomorrow, this race looks to be one between the Old Guard and the New as Levi heads off against TeeJay. I'm pulling for TeeJay, as it is long past time we began to leave LA and his cronies behind. That said, photos of TJ chatting with LA after the race leave me cause for concern.
